“Instead of just bringing them here and talking about Jesus,” he shares, “we bring them here to feel love and fellowship—and let Jesus be present in our attitude and intentions.” His approach is reshaping how churches interact with youth, creating a legacy that’s relevant, relational, and righteous.
As a husband, father, preacher, and leader, Bishop Phillips is just getting started. His latest milestone? Celebrating his 1-Year Pastoral Anniversary at New Birth with a full season of services, guest speakers, and the highly anticipated Bishop’s Banquet & 42nd Birthday Celebration on September 6th at 5 PM. The event features worship, gospel artist Ps. Stephen Anderson & Resolved, and guest homolist Pastor J. Phillip Carroll—all to raise funds for the continued renovation and revitalization of the church.
Supporters are invited to attend anniversary services every Wednesday at 7 PM and Sunday at 12 PM leading up to the big celebration. Guest speakers include respected voices such as Rev. Teresa K.
