The Gospel Choice Music Awards took place once again at Covenant Church located in Atlanta, GA, and the Artist Development Breakfast and Showcase took place at the Cathedral of Grace on June 24th and 25th of 2022. From the Artist Showcase to the Red Carpet, to the Award Show, all the way down to the fellowship, the entire weekend was full of powerful speeches, foot-stomping and hand-clapping music, and amazing interviews. Butta The Preacher took home another award again this year and was nominated for several categories and he brought his entire entourage with him.
This year, a new honoree category was introduced, the Duranice Pace's "I'll Always Be Thankful" Award. This prestigious award was given to Dr. Shira Stallworth and the Lifetime Achievement Awards went to Apostle Frank M. Holiday Sr., James V. Cockerham, Johnnie Redding Sr., Dr. William E. Those who walked the red carpet had much to say and a few even posed as if they were on a runway. The VIP guests along with the nominees and honorees did not come to play either when it came to their red carpet looks! The artist showcase featured some amazing and anointed artists and even had the room standing on their feet. E.G.O. Entertainment had the pleasure of coordinating and hosting the red carpet and award winner interviews. It was a pleasure serving alongside the rest of the Gospel Choice Music Awards team.
